Dear Parents and Carers
As we approach the end of this academic year, unlike any we have ever seen before, disrupted incredibly by Covid 19 and the Lockdown that has been in place since March 20th, it is a time to say goodbye and good luck to our Year 6 children who prepare to continue their journey into secondary school. While they will undoubtedly be experiencing mixed feelings of excitement and nervousness about the new challenges that secondary school will bring, they should hold on to the fact that up until Lockdown, they had all worked incredibly hard throughout the year and made good progress both in terms of their academic outcomes and their learning attitudes. Well done to them all!
We are also very much looking forward to welcoming our new Early Years children to our Reception class. Transition visits for them will begin early in September and we are very excited about the children and their families becoming part of our wider school community.

Those children who are currently attending school have been told this afternoon who their new class teacher is for September and all other parents have been informed today, via e mail.
We are fully aware that due to Covid 19, transition meetings, enabling all children to meet their new class teacher have simply not been possible this term. However, I would like to reassure you all that on our return to school in September, we will do our absolute best to ensure transition for every child runs as smoothly as possible.
As always, you are very welcome to come and speak to either myself or Mrs Doyle, should you have any further questions regarding next year.
I would like to end this letter by wishing all of you a restful and happy summer.
Take care everyone and stay safe.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Sian Cook
Head Teacher
